Run Oscar, Run!

26 Feb

Last week, on Valentine’s Day, was the three year anniversary of Oscar joining our family! He has brought such joy to us over the last few years, and although I have loved each and everyone of our greyhounds very much, Oscar has been especially easy to love. How can you not fall in love with an extra large, 90 pound, greyhound who tries to sit in your lap the first time he meets you! Oscar tries to do everything at his best. This includes napping, eating, marking every mailbox he passes and singing on command, but I think one of the things he enjoys most is playing with his squeaky ball.

He’s very talented, he can run at full speed and squeak at the same time. If only there was sound to go along with these photos.

“It’s all mine!”

And just when you thought, maybe he’s had enough.

Nope!

Just look at that smile! Thanks Oscar for bringing so much joy to our lives, you’re an awesome greyhound. If you’re interested in adopting a retired racer look up your nearest Greyhound Pets of America chapter. Here’s a link to GPA Houston. Check out the dogs they currently have up for adoption!
