I’m still alive, I think

7 Sep

The last three weeks have been a crazy whirl wind of inservice and 4th graders. I hope to post pictures of my room and what not soon. I’m not really sure what to say about my teaching experience thus far. How about you ask me questions. What do people really want to know about teaching 4th grade Math and Science in a public school?

Recess is at 1:00 right after lunch. A whirl wind was being used as a figure of speech to describe how busy I have been, as well as how I often feel when I am trapped with more than three 4th grades try to talk to me at the same time. And a whorl is why I am not teaching spelling! Yay, it’s Friday.

I hope that things settle down some, not get boring, but just more manageable. The only thing I want to know is…. are you mostly enjoying it????? Love, Aunt Jan

I’ve never wanted to teach because the idea of trying to keep a roomful of kids under control terrifies me. So…how do you handle classroom management? What do you do when somebody acts up?
