Coming Home

Petting the Koi

This past weekend Allie and I went up to Fort Worth to finish moving me out of my house up there. (Allie= next door neighbor since she was born and basically the sister I never had). It was kinda sad to know I wont be able to go back to Fort Worth and enjoy it the same was I did when I lived there. However, I’m back in Houston which has it’s perks too.
Anyways, while in FW we went to the Japanese Gardens because one of Allie’s favorite things are Koi fish and the gardens are beautiful as well. On our way back to Houston we also stopped through Waco to visit Sean and the Dr. Pepper Museum. Now if only I liked Dr. Pepper.

Here are some pictures from our journey. In the garden they have food dispensers so you can feed the fish, consequently the Koi are the size of large cats. The squirrels are also very friendly and will eat out of your hand. If you are ever in FW I highly recommend visiting.

I really did go the beach, I promise.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures to prove it too!
The Baker Family, aka my cousins

The Baker Clan! We had a great time at our annual photo session this year. From the right, Nathan, Mo, Darla, JannaKate, Drew and Ellie.

Corwin was also there for most of the week. It was his first time to dip his toes in the Gulf, and he seemed to like it, at least for a bit.

Corwin, can I help you?

And here are some fireworks, for spirit. I was trying to practice my night photo skills.

Happy Birthday Dad!

July 11, 2007

So I don’t have my pictures ready from the beach, but they’re on their way I promise. Last week on the 3rd was my Dad’s birthday, but I did not have access to incriminating photos. So, a week late, but better now than never. Happy Birthday Dad, I love you very much!

At the beach!

July 3, 2007

This is the sixth year my family has gone to Gulf Shores, AL, for a week of fun at the beach. We will have 17 members of family from my mom’s side here, which is pretty much all of us, except for Weston. The beach is very nice and I was able to practice my night photography skills the other night with a storm near Pensacola and the rising full moon. Hopefully I’ll get another chance on the forth of July with the crazy fireworks everyone does along the beach.
