Here is the Cathedral next to my school. You can go up an elevator to the top of the tower for free, and it is supposed to have wonderful viwes. It is on our list of things to do after school one day.
After school today we went to Trafalgar square and the National gallery. I visited Vigi for you daddy, she’s doing well. I was a little shocked when I went in though because everything after 1900 wasn’t in it’s normal place. They have moved it down stairs untill May for a special exhibit. Yesterday we just walked around Sloan Square and down Kings Road. Krystina and I were tired so we tried to go to bed early until there was a fire alarm at 10pm. Yay for living with college students who have access to kitchens.

Out and about
January 31, 2007First day
January 29, 2007I went to St Vincent de Paul School today for my first day of student teaching. It’s right next to Westminster Cathedral (not abbey), a very small Catholic school without a fee. It’s a very good school, and is considered the best religious school in the Westminster area. Everyone was very nice, and the kids were adorable. The day seemed to fly by, which was good. Tonight Krystina and I went to Piccadilly Circus and China Town for dinner. It was yummy, but a hard choice to chose which restraunt to eat at. There are soo many. More tomorrow.

I’m here, or there
January 28, 2007So, I’ve made it to London! Here’s our room, it’s very small, and cold because the heater is broken, but other than that nice. ![]()
I and three other student teachers meandered around the area this morning and afternoon to keep ourselves awake. We went to the Science and History Museum, which I had never been to before. Then we walked around Hyde Park a bit. Chelsea is supper cute. I’m exhausted so I’m off to grab a bite for dinner then sleep, because I have an early morning tomorrow. Cheers!

Who me? Weird?
January 23, 2007“People who get tagged need to write a blog post of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.”
I’ve been tagged by Lauren to divulge six weird things about me. It’s going to be hard because I am so normal, but I’ll try my best.
1. I think that I’m funny, and people just think that it’s funny that I think myself funny.
2. I compulsively load the dishwasher.
3. I don’t like it when people touch my eyes, or my face in general, without my permission.
4. I’m a pureist when it comes to ice-cream, I don’t like other textures messing with it’s creamyness. I also let my ice-cream melt a little so it’s mushy, yum.
5. I think that I was at my cutest when I was missing my four front teeth.
6. The fact that I have spent the last few hours trying to think of a sixth way in which I am weird.
Now you know my deepest darkest secrets, so Sean, Ryan, Josh, Mom,
Allie and Kate, it’s your turn.
Another year older
January 21, 2007Well, yesterday was my birthday. My roomate informs me that I am now formally an adult and that it is time for me to put away childish things. Other than this realization and the fact that I have homework to do it has been a very good weekend. I leave in less than a week for London so hopefully I’ll have more exciting things to talk about. Get excited.
Snow Day!
January 17, 2007I woke up this morning and got ready for school and as I was eating breakfast my roommate asked if I had looked outside. It was snowing! I don’t get to experience snow very often so I got excited, also consequently I don’t have school today. I love how beautiful snow makes everything, like sugar is falling from the sky.

The beginning of the end
January 17, 2007Well today was my first day of my last semester of my undergraduate education. It was kinda boring with seminars preparing us for our student teaching. I leave for London in a week and a half. If anyone wants anything from the UK just say so, within reason of course.
A Crafty Day
January 12, 2007Today I was finally able to do some sewing that I have wanted to do all break. I made a cozy cover for my laptop and a giant decorative pillow for my bed at school. I’m always afraid that when I put my computer in my messenger bag it is going to get scratched, but now I have no worries. I used polartec fleece so it’s cushiony and I also made it reversable so I can change the color. Here are some pictures. It’s kinda girly, but hay I am a girl.
Here is the pillow I made. I really like the swirly fabric.

Now I’m off to see if I can remember how to knit.
